MORE ON TREVER  >>

Each project and client is unique, so Haystack Development relies on a proven two-step process: talk to people, and then cook up a customized solution for their development needs. Not complicated—but highly effective.

Our solution may be as simple as translating developmental jargon over the phone, or as comprehensive as assembling, coordinating and directing a customized team to fastidiously oversee your project, from rough sketch to final brick.

Haystack’s development experience is both broad and deep. Thanks to our talented colleagues' we offer a full suite of property entitlement, land use planning, and development services, available a la carte or en masse. (Pardon our French.)

About

Trever McSpadden

 Principal & Owner Haystack Development

Trever launched his development career as a surveyor, then spent a decade as a land use planner at Morrison Maierle before founding Haystack Development in 2014. In past lives, he tuned skis in Big Sky and ran an upscale restaurant in downtown Bozeman. He’s since learned that a service mindset, a knack for spinning plates, and a knowledge of mountain-town dynamics come in handy with development, too.

Heavily involved in the community, Trever has served as President of City of Bozeman Planning Board, Chairman of the Big Sky Community Corporation, and sits on the Big Sky Architectural Committee, the Bozeman Area Transportation Coordinating Committee, and the Career & Technical Education Advisory Committee for the Big Sky School District. He’s a current member of the American Planning Association, and the Montana Association of Planners..

Between consulting and volunteering, Trever floats and fishes the Yellowstone and shreds Big Sky with his wife Marie and twin rippers-in-training, Charlie and Lilly.
